UFC Fight Night Sandhagen vs. Nurmagomedov 8/3/24 – 3rd August 2024 Full Show HD on watchwrestling

Preview:

August 3, 2024, is when the UFC Abu Dhabi Fight Night event is scheduled to occur. Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, will host the event. The main event will feature a bantamweight fight between Umar Nurmagomedov and Cory Sandhagen. On ABC 7, the event is also referred to as UFC.
When Cory Sandhagen meets with UFC.com for a half-hour at ONX Sports outside of Denver, Colorado, he has just finished six 5-minute rounds of sparring. He had around three weeks until his big event with Umar Nurmagomedov on August 3 to prepare for his daily workouts, after which he would taper off and travel to Abu Dhabi. As a result, when people ask him how he’s feeling, he gives a very genuine yet humorous response. That sensation of exhaustion is simply a part of the fighting game when you practice mixed martial arts for a living. It’s a signal that the battle, the opportunity to showcase months of preparation, is drawing near. And the chance to push himself to the limit is everything the 32-year-old Sandhagen could want, as he appears to be just one victory away from his second shot at a UFC championship. “This fight camp brought out the best in me,” Sandhagen remarked. Never before have I put in so many hours to study everything there is to know. Naturally, in addition to the mental and physical components, and everything else, I’ve already pushed myself farther than I’ve ever had to, which is fantastic. I’m incredibly appreciative of that. The Colorado native had completed a clean sweep on Rob Font’s scorecards in Nashville when fight fans last saw him, but that wasn’t the performance Sandhagen had planned for. It wasn’t the most thrilling tactic, but he did overpower Font, who substituted when Nurmagomedov withdrew due to an injury. Due to a torn tricep, Sandhagen had to change his style of fighting for most of the fight to one that involved a lot of wrestling. Rather than unleashing his arsenal of abilities on Font in an attempt to overwhelm him, Sandhagen had to uphold supreme command, ensure his safety, and secure the judges’ approval. Sandhagen even went so far as to express his regret to UFC CEO Dana White for the performance, claiming it wasn’t as bad as many were making it out to be. One bright spot was Sandhagen’s ongoing development. Years ago, he might not have had the tools necessary to change gears in the same way.
