The WWE NXT Heatwave 2024 PLE is slated to take place at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada on July 7, 2024. The main card of the tournament begins at 7 p.m. ET on July 6 and takes place at the same site and over the same weekend as Money in the Bank 2024 PLE. Start time for the pre-show is 6 p.m. ET. WWE declared in January 2024 that NXT Heatwave will make a comeback as a PLE, with a July 7 event scheduled at Scotiabank.Toronto, Canada’s Arena following Money in the Bank on July 6 and SmackDown on July 5. In 2022 and 2023, the WWE Heatwave series made a comeback as an NXT Weekly special. This is the 10th event in the series overall and the third event under Heatwave under NXT. At the NXT Heatwave PPV, Karmen Petovic & Arianna Grace will square off against Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyx in a tag match. Rumor has it that Petrovic & Grace will be defeated by Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyx, which would lead to the end of their feud. After winning the Tag Team Turmoil bout, Andre Chase and Duke Hudson from Chase University are now the top contenders for the tag team championship. They will now compete at the pay-per-view for the NXT Tag Team Championship against Nathan Frazer & Axiom. Internal conflicts have been present between Frazer and Axiom since Frazer is accused of prioritizing the titles and Axiom light over other problems. The feud between Axiom and Frazer is expected to persist when Chase U defeats Axiom & Frazer to win the NXT Tag Team Championship for the second time. On the June 11 broadcast of NXT, WWE Champion Cody Rhodes made the announcement that a 25-Man Battle Royal will occur the following week. At Heatwave, the victor of this battle royal would square off against NXT Champion Trick Williams. Additionally, Cody mentioned that players in this match may come from several rosters. implying talent from TNA Wrestling’s involvement. To be eligible for a title chance, Je’Von Evans had to win the Battle Royal. Later in the same program, Evans lost against Ethan Page in a singles match. It was revealed on the June 18 NXT broadcast that the winner of a tag team turmoil match will have the opportunity to compete for the Tag Team Championship at Heatwave the following week.
