Watch Wrestling AEW American Champion MJF has discussed his feelings over Mercedes Mone’s promotion and her joining AEW.
Mercedes Mone debuted on AEW in March, appearing in both the opening and closing segments of Dynamite’s Big Business episode.
Mercedes won the AEW TBS Championship after defeating Willow Nightingale in her debut AEW match. Following her victory over Stephanie Vaquer at Forbidden Door, she currently possesses the TBS and NJPW STRONG Women’s Championships.
The AEW American Champion MJF lauded Mercedes’ signing and called her a “significant acquisition” in an exclusive interview with WrestleTalk.
He said:
She strikes me as a significant purchase. She was instrumental in starting the WWE women’s revolution.
“She has given our show a whole new level of star power. Her character is captivating, in my opinion.
