AEW Signs Nephew Of WWE Legend

It’s thought that the nephew of a WWE great, who has recently appeared for AEW, has inked a contract with the organization.

The nephew of the Dynamite Kid, Tommy Billington, made his AEW Collision debut on May 11 in a losing matchup with Dax Harwood. He later made a comeback appearance on July 13, when he also had an in-ring story.

Despite his lackluster performance against Konosuke Takeshita, Billington pleased Don Callis enough to be offered a place in the Don Callis Family, an offer that Billington turned down.

The story might not be finished, though, as a recent Fightful Select article claims that Billington, according to a talent close to him, inked a contract with AEW.

The signing has not been formally announced by AEW, and it is unclear whether this is a full-time or tiered per-appearance contract.
The report also stated that sources indicated WWE NXT was considering signing in Billington.

Tommy Billington and his brother Mark Billington are the two members of the Billington Bulldogs tag team; however, Mark Billington has not participated in AEW since December 2023 due to an injury.
