AEW Dynamite Viewership Increases On 8/14, Demo Also Rises

On August 14, AEW Dynamite had a rise in viewing, bringing in 703,000 viewers and scoring a 0.23 rating in the 18 to 49 age group. This is an increase above the 622,000 viewers and 0.19 demo rating from the prior week.

In terms of views on Wednesday, AEW Dynamite topped cable television.

“AEW Dynamite did 703K/0.23 last night and was first for the day on cable,” tweeted Dave Meltzer.

Mercedes Moné defeated Hikaru Shida to successfully defend the AEW TBS Championship in this week’s program. Britt Baker attacked Moné after the match, but Kamille stepped in to protect the victor.

After defeating Jay Lethal, Hangman Page ambushed Lethal and Jeff Jarrett backstage before the match.

The Young Bucks defeated The Acclaimed via disqualification following an intervention by FTR to stop Matthew Jackson from cheating. The Acclaimed will play FTR in Saturday night’s Collision.

Swerve Strickland prevailed over Wheeler Yuta in the main event through referee stoppage, and the evening concluded with Strickland striking Bryan Danielson with the House Call.
