The Blood & Guts special show will air live from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN on the July 24, 2024, AEW Dynamite program. The five members of both Team Elite and Team AEW have finally been announced, completing the lineup for the Blood & Guts 2024 showdown. After AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland announced that he would be joining Team AEW, Hangman Page joined Team Elite last week. Since late last year, Page and Swerve have been at odds, but Page has never been able to defeat Swerve. Page lost to Bryan Danielson in the Owen Hart Cup final, and Page attempted to win a title match against him. The current members of Team Elite are Hangman Adam Page, TNT Champion Jack Perry, Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicolas Jackson), and Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada. Before Swerve declared himself to be the team captain, Mark Briscoe was the first member of Team AEW to be revealed. This week on Dynamite, Anthony Bowens and Max Caster of The Acclaimed presented their case to Briscoe, adding three new news members to Team AEW. After joining them in the brawl to end Dynamite, Darby Allin became the last member of the team. Thus, Darby Allin, Mark Briscoe, The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster), and AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland make up Team AEW. Next week’s AEW Dynamite Blood & Guts Special will feature an additional match. Minoru Suzuki declared that Chris Jericho, the FTW Champion, would be his opponent for the championship. Furthermore, Big Bill and Bryan Keith of The Learning Tree will not be permitted to watch the match from the ringside. The Blood & Guts match will take up a significant portion of the evening.
