Report: Fan Backlash Stops ‘Street Trash’ Name For The Judgment Day, Whose Idea It Was

WWE has chosen to stick with the original moniker of The Judgment Day in response to strong fan opposition to the proposed name change to Street Trash.

Despite the harsh criticism from fans, Finn Balor’s notion of “Street Trash” will remain a part of the group’s branding. Concepts for merchandise with this tagline have already been decided upon and authorized.

“To follow up on this: WWE has addressed the fan backlash and will keep the Judgment Day name,” WrestleVotes stated. But the group’s gimmick—a concept that came from Finn Balor—will use the tagline “Street Trash,” with merchandise designs that have already been finished and approved.
